The following are the current members of the VLM Management Team:
Declan Malone, Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Declan was responsible for the set up and management of Graphic Colour Works in 1994, a company concentrating on the Juvenile publishing sector within the US. This company successfully launched and expanded its services to include Localisation, foreign licensing fulfilment, digital lettering as well as colouring services. In 2002 Declan was appointedCEO of VLM UK Limited, he quickly established the company as the leading provider of digital print solutions within the UK market. Declan provides the direction for VLM's dedicated team of professionals.
John Malone, Chief Technology Officer
In 1995 John setup and managed the localisation department in Graphic Colour Works. This department managed the global distribution of localised juvenile books for companies such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics. In 2002 John joined VLM and was responsible for product development and the implementation of VLM's automated production process. John's responsibilities include online content management, directing, designing and implementing
the company's product vision. John has a degree in Business Application from Portebello College, Dublin.
Tim Hurley , General Manager
Tim joined VLM UK as General Manager in May 2007. Having worked for Multi-National companies in the USA, Ireland and the UK, Tim has over 15 years of management experience in Digital Print, e-Business solutions and Internet Business start-ups as well as Production Process Management and International Logistics.
Gerry Malone, Sales Director
Gerry has worked in several roles in the printing industry for 20 years. In 1985 he set up Grafascan Inc. in New York, a sales company promoting Pre-Press services from Ireland to US Based Periodic & Catalogue Publishers. As MD, he successfully transformed Irish company, Graphic Reproductions from Pre-Press to a localisation & digital print company servicing IT companies in Ireland. He set up an implant pre-press company to service the Smurfit Ireland Print & Publishing companies, which he subsequently sold to Smurfits. He has worked in VLM UK for the past 2 years, in sourcing the financial & Administrative functions, and is currently responsible for business development in the Real Estate Sector. Gerry has a degree in Accounting & Finance from Dublin City University.
Aanjli Sohal, Financial Manager
Aanjli worked at MGI Wenham Major to train as a chartered accountant. Her duties included performing statutory audits for a range of entities, from large groups of companies to charities,accounts preparation and tax computation for various entities, training of junior staff and managing a portfolio of clients. On obtaining her ACA qualification Aanjli moved from practiceto industry to join VLM UK Limited as a Finance Manager. At VLM UK Limited Aanjli duties include preparation of reports, management information, cash flows, budgets, Vat returns, financial statements etc, as well as managing the finance department. Aanjli has a BCom in Accounting & Finance, and MSc in International Business.
